Symptoms Of Spinal Disc Conditions
Dr. Ron Daulton, Jr.
The symptoms of spinal disc conditions will be the same no matter what the diagnosis is (bulging disc, herniated disc, ruptured disc, or even degenerative disc disease). The only thing that really determines the symptoms is where the problem is located.
This occurs because the individual nerves that are affected will determine what symptoms develop.
The only exception to this is degenerative disc disease – in this particular case, all of the symptoms will be the same except you may also experience stiffness in the affected area. This happens because DDD is actually an arthritic condition and will work very similarly to arthritis in other parts of the body.
In addition to that, the symptoms of degenerative disc disease will tend to be worse in the morning or after you’ve been still for a period of time. This is because the affected joints will stiffen whenever you stop moving for any period of time, so when you start to move again, it will feel worse temporarily.
What Are The Symptoms In The Different Regions Of The Spine?
With all of that said, let’s cover what the different symptoms are, based on which region of your spine is affected. You can either click the link below for the region of your spine where the problem is, or you can click the Next button to go through each region one at a time.
